Fresh from a successful season in Johannesburg, the Cape Dance Company (CDC) under the direction of Debbie Turner, will present five different neo classical works by outstanding choreographers in their annual season at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town from 30 November to 11 December, 2011.
This year the Youth Music Festival (YMF) reaches a significant milestone, as it celebrates its 40th year. The annual concert presented by Artscape and the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) serves as a launching pad for accomplished young classical music instrumentalists and singers, in playing on a professional concert stage with a symphony orchestra. On Saturday 13 August 2011 at 19.45, thirteen extraordinarily talented young musicians will celebrate this festival in performance with the CPO.
Under the auspices of Artscape, together with Spiral Productions and An Creative, Two As One, will be performed on Sunday, August 14 at 19:00 at Artscape Theatre. One performance only in Cape Town!
The Brundibár Project was initiated by the Cape Town Holocaust Centre to promote visual and performing arts, while using them as a vehicle for remembering and honouring, and to build a culture of human rights.

Artscape’s Youth Jazz Festival celebrates its 9th year with legendary Jazz Trumpeter, Ian Smith conducting the Delft Big Band. Young soloists, who are already making waves in the jazz arena, will join the band in an evening of superb music.
